Solaris 2.6/7/8三个版本都携带了一个名为snmpXdmid的RPC服务,这个服务主要用于在SNMP管理请求和DMI请求之间建立一种映射/转换关系。
Solairs snmpXdmid实现上存在一个缓冲区溢出漏洞,远程攻击者可以利用此漏洞通过溢出攻击以root用户的权限执行任意指令。
恶意的远程用户可以向snmpXdmid发送一个畸形的RPC请求,最终导致一次标准的栈式缓冲区溢出。由于snmpXdmid是以root身份启动的,所以攻击者成功后将立即得到一个root shell。
